Easy To See Herbs
No longer do you need detective skills worthy of Sherlock Holmes to spot Belladonna in the game. This mod simplifies the task of locating those pesky, hard-to-spot herbs by making them much easier to see.
It was a Herculean task to even locate the herb texture files—thanks a lot, Warhorse Studios!
Alright, venting over, I feel better now.
This mod changes the textures of herbs that were virtually invisible in their natural state. You won’t just happen upon these herbs anymore; now, you can actually seek them out intentionally, much like you would with nettles and dandelions.
Here’s what I’ve tweaked so far:
– Belladonna (the sneaky one): I’ve adjusted it to look less like it’s part of the dirt, brightening the flowers so much they’ve turned pink, which personally, I think looks pretty awesome.
– Mint: I’ve brightened the central “cotton ball” flower and added a minty touch to the leaves, making it downright adorable and a must-have in any herbal collection.
– Herb Paris: Now features yellow accents on the upper leaves.
These changes are subtle and based on real-life photographs (so, realism police, back off—I’m not committing any visual felonies here). I haven’t turned them into fluorescent plants with zebra stripes, although that would be quite something.
I haven’t made changes to other well-visible herbs like dandelions, nettles, thistles, sage, or marigolds, except in an earlier version where I brightened any visible flowers.
If there’s a herb out there still playing too hard to get, drop a comment, and I’ll make it stand out.
Installation Instructions:
– Extract the folder from the .zip archive directly into your DATA\Mods folder, such as: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Data\Mods
– Then, feel free to adjust as you see fit.
Uninstallation Steps:
Simply remove the EasyToSeeHerbs folder from your Mods folder.
Note on Bugs:
The modified textures make the vegetation appear brighter, so I’ve adjusted the brightness and color levels to better match the game’s original aesthetic. I’ve stopped trying to perfect this now, it just looks fantastic and makes finding every harvestable herb significantly easier than before.
