Fans will get another glimpse of the medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 later this week. Warhorse Studios unveiled the sequel with a reveal trailer in April, showcasing significant graphical improvements compared to the original game.
Released in 2018, the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance was praised for its engaging story and meticulous historical accuracy but faced criticism for numerous technical issues. Following the announcement of the sequel, Warhorse Studios stated that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 represents the game they originally envisioned six years ago but couldn’t create due to limited experience and resources.
The official Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Twitter account recently teased a new trailer set to debut during Summer Game Fest on Friday, June 7. This highly anticipated event will also include announcements from over 55 major gaming companies, such as Capcom, PlayStation, Sega, and Xbox.
Fans Get a New Look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 This Friday
While Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has only received a single trailer so far, Warhorse Studios recently shared behind-the-scenes footage on their YouTube channel, offering a glimpse into the sequel’s development process. Unlike the original, the sequel will introduce crossbows and early firearms, both of which can be used while on horseback. Additionally, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 promises to be twice as large as its predecessor and will feature over five hours of cinematic cutscenes.
The first game, set in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia, followed Henry, a blacksmith’s son who survives a devastating village massacre. Driven by vengeance, he aligns with Lord Radzig Kobyla, a leader of the resistance against those who orchestrated the tragedy. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Henry returns to Bohemia, but this time with greater customization options. Players will be able to shape his role as a knight, thief, scoundrel, or other classes, tailoring their experience as they embark on a new adventure.
Fans eager for more can tune into the Summer Game Fest on June 7 at 2:00 PM PST, streaming live on YouTube and Twitch. While the initial trailer in April highlighted the scale and ambition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, fans are hopeful the upcoming trailer will showcase gameplay from the highly anticipated sequel.
