Bow Dot Reticle

Here’s a straightforward console command fix that prevents the aiming dot from disappearing when you draw a bow in the game.

Insert this command into a user.cfg file:
wh_pl_showfirecursor=1

Place the user.cfg file in your “Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance” directory. You can navigate there by right-clicking the game in your Steam library, selecting Properties, then Local Files, and finally Browse Local Files.

If you already have a user.cfg file (perhaps for disabling vsync, for instance), simply add the line above to it. The file may be set to ‘read only’ as a precaution; if you need to make changes, you can uncheck this setting.

Please note, some users have reported ‘blocky’ text after using the .cfg file. If this happens, open the file with Notepad and change the =1 to =2 to see if that resolves the issue. However, use this adjustment at your own risk as I cannot guarantee it won’t cause unique bugs in your game.

Regarding the mod’s removal, some users have noticed the aiming dot still appears. To clarify, the yellow dot was always there, it just becomes more noticeable with the bow drawn due to this mod. I’ve even checked pre-release gameplay videos to confirm its presence.

Please note, this mod will not function with any other mod that removes the dot reticle entirely from the game. It’s designed specifically for bow aiming enhancement.

Finally, a huge shoutout to PC Gamer for featuring my mod and to all those who downloaded and supported it. To those critics who feel this mod “ruins the game”, no one is forced to use it. It’s all about personal choice in how to enjoy your gaming experience. And thank you to the vast community of gamers who have embraced this mod for the fun it adds to their play.
