Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is now scheduled for release on February 4, 2025, a full week earlier than its originally planned date of February 11. Developed by Warhorse Studios, the game is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
The original game, praised for its realism, transported players to 15th-century Bohemia and followed the journey of Henry, a blacksmith’s son seeking vengeance. The sequel, published by Deep Silver, will conclude Henry’s story, offering another first-person action-RPG experience. Set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was initially aiming for a 2024 release but was delayed to 2025. This latest update is a welcome change, signaling positive progress for the game.
Warhorse Studios announced the new release date via Twitter, revealing that the medieval RPG will now debut on February 4. Alongside this news, the studio teased “a bunch of more exciting news” in the coming days. On December 5, fans can expect the release of PC and console specifications as well as a new story trailer. In a video shared with the announcement, Warhorse Studios Global PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has gone gold, with the team focusing on final optimization and bug fixes. He also hyped the upcoming trailer, calling it “the best” the studio has ever created.

The announcement of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s revised launch date comes at a time when fan anticipation is at an all-time high. Supporting this excitement, Stolz-Zwilling revealed that the game has already been wishlisted by one million Steam users. Additionally, it was confirmed that PS5 and Xbox Series X players will have the option to choose between quality mode and performance mode, while PS5 Pro owners can look forward to an enhanced experience, as the game is optimized for the upgraded console.
With just a few months to go before release, Warhorse Studios is likely focused on final polishing and ensuring a smooth launch. After successfully delivering the Switch port of Kingdom Come: Deliverance in March 2024, the Czech developer is aiming to maintain that momentum leading up to the much-anticipated release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 next year.
