This mod has been tested on a system with 8GB RAM, Core i5 Gen 4, 2GB VRAM, and an SSD, but it also includes configuration files for both low-end and high-end PCs.

– Requires Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 version 1.2 or newer.
Installation Guide
Step 1: Modify Game Launch Options
– Find the game executable or modify it via Steam:
– – Right-click the game in your Steam Library → Click Properties → Add the following under Launch Options:
-heapsize 1572864 +exec user.cfg
If launching manually, modify the shortcut:
“C:\Steam\Kingdom Come Deliverance 2\Bin\Win64\KingdomCome.exe” -heapsize 2097152 +exec user.cfg
or
– “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance” -heapsize 2097152 +exec user.cfg
Important:
– – 1572864 is optimized for 8GB RAM. If you have more, increase this value accordingly.
– – You can check your RAM by right-clicking This PC → Properties → Installed Memory.
Step 2: Download and Place the Configuration File
– Download and extract the user.cfg file that matches your system.
– Copy it to the game’s root directory: C:\Steam\Kingdom Come Deliverance
or
– C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2
– (Alternatively, you can place it in the “Mods” folder.)
– Check your processor type
– – Right-click This PC → Properties → Look under Processor to see if you have an Intel i5, i7, or AMD CPU.
Additional Tweaks for KCD2 Versions Below 1.6
If you are running an older version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, follow these steps for better CPU usage:
– Use BES CPU Limiter (For CPU Load Balancing)
– – Download BES CPU Limiter.
– – Launch the game, open BES, and follow these steps:
– – – Click Target → Select KingdomCome.exe
– – – Click Limit This and set it to -1% using the slider.
– – – Click Limit/Watch, then Yes and Close.
– Manually Balance CPU Usage (For Older CPUs)
– – Open Task Manager → Go to Processes
– – Right-click KingdomCome.exe → Set Affinity
– – Uncheck the most-used CPU → Click OK
– – Re-enable the CPU by ticking the box again.
– – (I am still working on automating this via CryEngine user.cfg settings.)
Updating or Removing the Mod
– If you have a previous version installed, remove or replace the old user.cfg file before updating.
– To uninstall, simply delete user.cfg from the game directory.
